Following the Baden Wine Route
While the grape harvest is in full swing and one wine festival follows another, we, too, set out for the wine region of the Baden Rhine Valley. Our goal: an enjoyable team day and, of course, a visit to our new Sistag location in Germany.
Shortly before 8 a.m., the entire Sistag Switzerland team, along with their partners, met in Eschenbach. Armed with coffee and croissants, we set off in two tour buses heading north, following the Rhine all the way to the Baden wine region.
Our first stop took us to Ettenheim. There, we strolled through the vineyards and immersed ourselves in the world of Baden wine during a tasting at the A. Bieselin winery. With tarte flambée, a good glass of wine, and perfect late-summer weather, we enjoyed ourselves in the WeinGarden.
We then continued on to Ettlingen, where the next highlight was already waiting for us: a very personal wine festival at the Sistag grounds. With fine food, good music, and an outstanding selection of wines, we enjoyed the afternoon and the cozy get-together.
Of course, a look behind the scenes at our new location was a must. During a tour of the facility, we not only got to know the premises better but also learned who in Ettlingen is suspiciously often named “Employee of the Month” and what connects the office building’s canopy to a well-known Lucerne landmark.
An all-around successful day with many wonderful encounters, new impressions, and plenty of time for personal conversation. We had a lovely time!
